I guess that if he was to be seen kicking Larry the cat, that might be the final straw. Even for his most loyal supporters.

What do you think he would have to do to finally lose the support of loyal Cabinet members?

Well - promoting a known sex offender to high office and then lying about it seems to have done the trick.

HRTQueen · 06/07/2022 00:33

I think most are fed up of him they are just waiting for a leadership challenge from someone they know when win again with a good majority

meanwhile Boris Johnson has his eye of being the longest serving PM

He's promoted desperate people to the cabinet. They won't have a chance without him. They know that. They will cling on come what may.

Exactly. The likes of Patel, Raab, Braverman and Dorries know that they wouldn't be in Cabinet under anyone else.

This. They're all incompetent, pretty nasty and inexperienced to boot. The Contemptuous Victorian Pencil can be added to that number as well: Rees Mogg is out of a job as soon as BJ goes.

avamiah · 06/07/2022 01:45

How in this world does he think he can run our country and expect us to support him when he talks absolute rubbish and pretends he doesn’t know what’s going on.?
He knows exactly everything before the press get wind of a scandal and in my opinion the sexual abuse allegations that have now come out with regards to a fellow MP are just the final straw and Cannot be as easily dismissed as Party Gate was.

P205 · 06/07/2022 01:55

He's seen as an election asset. It doesn't matter what his cabinet thinks of him, it's what the public thinks of him that matters to them. As long as they think he's electable, he will stay.

the80sweregreat · 06/07/2022 05:10

There were people on the news being interviewed and they still backed Boris Johnson so he has support from the public.
You'd be surprised really.

DockOTheBay · 06/07/2022 06:47

Stop paying them off?

Slightly off thread but your description of JRM is fabulous!!!

Change the party logo to a zoomed in picture of a bum, and the name of the party to The Queen's Anus

SpinningForTheWorld · 06/07/2022 06:59

Dorries would take a punch in the face for Johnson. From Johnson. And say she was honoured.

Patel and Coffey seem glad of the opportunity to indulge the darker sides of their natures.

Raab has a personality disorder.

That’s how bad it is.

BadAtMaths2 · 06/07/2022 07:11

his cabinet are a bunch of total incompetents. They are unemployable by anyone else.

the party are now seeing credible challengers and that Boris, despite offering tax cuts to MPs last night now Rishi has gone, is losing support of Tory voters.

PolkaDotMankini · 06/07/2022 07:12

Getting it on with Nadine during PMQs?

balalake · 06/07/2022 07:13

One of those promoted was the Chief of Staff put there to improve the workings of number 10, and judging by the last week when various ministers were sent out by them to tell lies, he failed at that job.

Jacob Rees-Mogg has admitted no other Prime Minister would give him a post.

Velvian · 06/07/2022 07:19

I find it really disingenuous to have 'lost confidence' in him at this point. The behaviour is entirely in keeping with his past behaviour and character.

NashvilleQueen · 06/07/2022 07:23

Interesting that Gove is staying put for now. Biding his time I think and trying to appear loyal after past events.

I think of the rest of the cabinet big names there's only Raab that might get another post. I mean I've no idea Cc why because he's a fucking imbecile but he fits the profile of what tories like.

Perhaps Ben Wallace as well because of the Ukraine work.

NerdyBird · 06/07/2022 07:29

I honestly think he would have to murder someone before the rest of them give up on him, and even then Dorries might not.

Only for Javid and Sunak.

Doesn’t say much for Zahawi, Truss, Patel, Raaaaab and the rest of them does it?

YouGov snap poll of 3000 UK adults suggest that the public may have run out of patience with Johnson - even amongst the Tory faithful.
