I cannot stand that whiny black rabbit. His stupid baby talk and his silly moany voice... stop whinging 🙈 I hear enough whining from my 1yo 😂 I just want to give him a shake.

Between Bing and Justin's House, i don't know which I hate more 😂

What are your most hated kids tv programmes?

Regarding Bing, couldn't agree more, he's dreadful. And what is up with all these different anthropomorphic animals being cared for by sock puppet type creatures who are smaller than they are.

There's one I (thankfully) only saw a few times called Baby Jake, that was absolutely terrible as well.

TheGoogleMum · 28/06/2022 09:53

Bing is annoying. We have limited how much it is on now as we were worried DD was becoming whiny like Bing.
We love Bluey and Hey Duggee though

Baby Jake! That brings back some memories. There’s a big gap between both my DDs. I’ve not seen that show since 2014/15

Oh man, Bing. And why is he so obsessed with wees and poos?!

I've got a bit of a soft spot for anything Justin and me and DH are big Bluey fans too (though DS isn't that bothered which is a real pain 😂)

DS asked to watch dinosaurs the other day and we stumbled across Andy's Dino Toybox, which he now absolutely loves. So we spend lots of our time watching a grown man film himself playing with toy dinos...

Pbbananabagel · 28/06/2022 10:05

Love Bing and Bluey- thereve been multiple studies showing that the ‘baby talk’ and playing with words actually helps children learn to speak.

absolutely detest paw patrol / peppa pig - low quality animation just geared towards selling toys imho

minimadgirl · 28/06/2022 10:32

I hate Bing and Waffle the Wonder dog.
My girl loves Bluey (so do I as we do a lot of imaginative play like they do on Bluey, She's been my crazy pillow a long time before I ever saw that episode). She also likes Something Special but seems to enjoy it more for learning the makaton.

In the night garden, and Moon and Me just confuse me.

Hugasauras · 28/06/2022 10:33

Blippi is awful. He is banned in our house.

Bing is a knob.

Love Bluey though!

Oh DD loves Andy's Dino Toy Box! I think I read somewhere the inspiration came from Mrs Doubtfire, where Robin Williams is doing a similar thing for the TV channel. Such a simple concept but DD asks for it all the time and plays along with her own dinosaur toys!

Hugasauras · 28/06/2022 10:36

Is Moon and Me that awfully creepy one with Pepe Nana and that jack in the box thing? Collywobbles? And that onion creature and moon baby?

Stuff of nightmares.

buntywindermere · 28/06/2022 10:38

I hate Bing, Waffle, Paw Patrol, Cocomelon.

Love Bluey, Hey Duggee and Paddington!

buntywindermere · 28/06/2022 10:40

Oh I hate Blippi too!!!! Mainly because of what he did pre-Blippi!!

FuckYouBing · 28/06/2022 10:40

I can't stand the whiny bugger, can you tell 😂

IceandIndigo · 28/06/2022 10:45

I hate Bing too. I remember the episode where he breaks Flop’s phone and throws it in the rubbish and Flop is all “it’s no big thing”. Yeah right, that’s the way all parents would react.

Kiri and Lou is our favourite.

ImustLearn2Cook · 28/06/2022 10:56

I hate Bing too! I told someone (a parent with similar age dc) that I couldn’t stand Bing and they looked at me like I was some kind of monster and said: How can you not like Bing, I think he’s sweet?

Thank you. I feel totally vindicated. It is his awful, whiny voice, it is sooooooo grating.

bakewellbride · 28/06/2022 10:58

I really don't mind bing. Cocomelon is annoying but not unbearable to me.

But masha and the bear? I hate it so much!

bakewellbride · 28/06/2022 10:59

@buntywindermere what did he do pre-blippi??

ImustLearn2Cook · 28/06/2022 11:01

Being forced to watch Bing on repeat would be psychological torture.

Whyismycatanasshat · 28/06/2022 11:07

Bing is dreadful! He’s on the banned list, as is Peppa because She grates on me!

We we’re given a vhs player and a lot of videos - Fireman Sam, Thomas the tank engine, Postman Pat, Spot and BBC collections; they are so much nicer! Better stories, manners and keep the two three year olds enthralled.

My DD is currently totally obsessed with Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom. It's a pity netflix only has one series of it. I actually dont mind it.

I've found that a lot of other programmes have become more obnoxious in recent years. I watched spongebob when I was a kid and loved it... it happened to come on the other day and the new series' are so much louder and stranger and much more annoying than they used to be. I've noticed that with a lot of re-boots too.

I have loads of DVDs for sale! going to donate them to the school by the weekend if no one buys it, so let me know if you are interested Grin

PinkButtercups · 28/06/2022 11:20

Peppa Bastard Pig.
The most vile little thing isn't she 🤣. Bratty, whiny voice, no manners. The list could go on.

Cocomelon is banned. My DS never really got into it. Then he did for about 2 weeks and it made his attitude really really bad. He was doing odd things like chucking his tablet down the stairs, and just being really out of character.

I stopped him watching it as heard mixed reviews about it and he was back to his normal self and the tablet hasn't been flung down the stairs once since.

When I found it on iPlayer I kind of assumed it was a lockdown thing as it had that made-at-home vibe? I do love the imaginative play element of it though - DS isn't quite old enough to play like that yet but I'll be encouraging it when he is!

Phos · 28/06/2022 11:23

I quite like Paw Patrol. At least the episodes have a plot line of sorts.

Notaderrysgirl · 28/06/2022 11:26

Bing is so weird but here's my crackpot theory on Bing if anyone cares! Bing is looked after by flop who looks like a bean bag. There aren't any mums or dads in the program nor is anyone ever referred to as mum or dad. Any adult character is seen simply as a care giver. I think this is because the shows creators recognize that not all children are looked after by their mum or dad, some are looked after by other people or are in care etc so they want to move the emphasis away from traditional family units. Now to explain flop's and all the other "care giver" characters appearances - them all looking like bean bags also implies that the "caregivers" are of minimal importance. The attention is directed at the children characters. All the children characters differ in appearance, personality and clothing. The Care givers do not. The size of the children characters are substantially bigger than the adults characters, even baby charlie is bigger than flop so this further implies that the children characters are more important to the overall story and are more significant. Bing always refers to flop as flop, never dad or uncle or whatever so this show may well appeal to children who simply do not have their mothers or fathers looking after them. However Flop does have the same bunny like ears as Bing and Bing's friend Zula's care giver has ears similar to Zula's. This may imply that the care givers are in some way related to the children either genetically or could this be a hint that the care givers are in fact some sort of imaginary friend to the children? The character pando always takes his trousers off - like alot of children like to do so the show recognizes that each child is different and that they do not live in a perfect world where children always have an immaculate appearance and keep their clothes on. Either way I have watched Bing far too many times with my nieces and nephews. They all love bing!! That's my theory anyway. Yes I’m aware I should get out more!

JustKeepLookingWithYourEyes · 28/06/2022 11:36

Bing is so irritating, I think DD agreed though as she never really got into it. I don’t mind Blippi and I can tolerate Peppa Pig, Cocomelon tragically “broke” on every outlet it was on, and it was such an awful coincidence because it broke at DSis house too 😂 (she owes me one!) DD went through a teletubbies phase which I didn’t mind, and I love Hey Duggee!

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 28/06/2022 11:43

I thought you meant the internet search engine.

Me too! I was about to go on a rant about how even the most innocent search is blocked due to the possibility of adult content and it won't let me change the settings. Switched to Ecosia and theoretically I have almost planted my own forest.
