Class action lawsuit against Christian religion to pay for unwanted children?

I’m not in America but I was wondering if rich American women could band together to fund a class action lawsuit. It would be against evangelical Christian churches to force them to pay for the upkeep of all children up to 18 in states which have banned abortion. They should also be sued to pay for medical bills for the mothers including mental health bills.

Ok, well, I can't extend myself that far. Not sure if that was a joke aimed at me.

But I will say that there is a demand for adoption in the US. At least for infants. We used to adopt from many foreign countries like Ukraine, Romania, China but that seems to be stopping for various reasons.

A few thousand maybe. But not milllions. What is intended to be done with the rest of them? The less than perfectly healthy ones etc.

IDK. Hopefully not what happened prior to Roe vs Wade. The religious groups insist that there are loving homes and I imagine there are, especially if those homes receive stipends for taking in children.

I think it's funny that someone compared me to Qanon because I'm looking at possible outcomes when we all know what happened at the care home in Tuam and at the Indian schools in Canada and the US. The survivors are still alive. It's not ancient history.

I mean, look up symphysiotomy. I don't have to make up Qanon conspiracies. The truth is bad enough.

Oh, you sweet summer child Flowers

The churches will look after these children, oh yeah? Does anyone remember Magdalene Laundries in Ireland, or the children sent to Canada and Australia under the charge of cruel, nasty, abusive religious orders who sexually and physically abused them?. Religion is evil, I would never trust most of these religious people with children.

There is a (small) demand for unborn babies of vulnerably pregnant women, completely different to a demand for children available for adoption. Adoption and private adoptions are two completely different things. Vulnerable women are targettee by people who want their babies, rather than being supported to raise the baby if that is what they wish.

you are free to travel to another state should you wish to have an abortion and you live in a state where it is illegal.

I don't think this is always that simple, though. For example in Texas the woman can have an abortion but anyone who assists, eg family member who drives them out of state, can be sued for $10,000 plus costs. And although Mississippi tried to implement something similar before it got blocked, its not difficult to see how that legislation it might get reintroduced.

I have to say, though, I lay the blame solely at the feet of the national legislators avoiding tackling this issue. Especially presidents who have control of both houses and are riding high on being elected. Instead they've not wanted the unpopularity that goes wuth sticking their heads above the parapets.

The justices overturned it due to their relight beliefs. Every news piece shows the religious right overjoyed by the news. They should all dig deep to support their ‘pro-life’ beliefs.

The Justices overturned it because it was unconstitutional.
It was not under Federal jurisdiction.
