That something bad will happen. Does anyone else have this ? How can this go away ? Sorry for posting here. I thought I would get quick replies.

It can have a physical cause though. For example anxiety can be caused by heart disease. Although that sounds really scary and horrible, when the person I knew had it identified they had heart disease and started taking medication, the anxiety feelings went away basically overnight. I just thought I’d mention as some sort of physical cause is always possible. If you have PND though I think it’s very likely to be connected with that.

If the OP has a baby/toddler in nursery, she's hardly likely to be of an age to consider heart disease! Not the best idea to bring this up to someone suffering from anxiety!
OP please don't read this and worry!!!!
I recommend reading up on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; from your posts it sounds like this could be a good approach for you.

Yes, anxiety. Only medication helped me. It still comes back sometimes, but less often.

Thankfully not. If your worrying about the future you can't enjoy the present.

@scissorsandsellotape the instructions are to put a drop under your tongue for 1-2 minutes.

@denbigh I use one by a company called Green Stem. I found it works pretty quickly. It's not like I notice it doing anything I just realise a some point after taking it that I don't have that impending sense of doom feeling. It could be a placebo but for me it really helps so I feel there's no harm in using it. I tend to use it if I wake during the night and can't keep get to sleep or I often just wake up feeling bad and I'll take a drop then. I also used it before a small operation i had and I use it before i go on holiday as airports really stress me out.

Hi @peachescariad I know this is an old thread but just wanted to say I have the exact thing happen! But with me it’s that I’ve forgotten to take my medication, my heart pounds so much it hurts and I sit bolt upright and it takes time to come round and realise that yes I did take my medication. Or sometimes I wake up in terror that both my children aren’t in bed and I’ve left them somewhere! Ridiculous!
