Has anyone successfully got rid of sunspots / pigmentation?

Hi all,

I've recently turned 30 and I feel like I look about 45. I have sunspots / pigmentation on my forehead and bits of my face and it's really getting me down.

I'm not sure if it's developed whilst I was recently pregnant or if it's due to the fact I used sunbeds in my younger days (I know, I kick myself for it every day).

I feel like I'm going to look 70 by the time I'm 40.

Before I invest in an expensive cream aimed at targeting this issue I wondered if anyone had anything they could recommend so that I could use one that had been tried and tested.

I've added a photo so you can see. Ignore the tufts of hair round my hairline I've suffered horrendous post partum hair loss. Basically feel really shit about my appearance now and it's starting to get me down.

Thank you in advance for any advice x

Yes, tretenoin is the best for this. Google the results.

Make sure youre wearing F50 on your face each day too

I just a quick laser on them and they were gone in a couple of days.

Oh my god really!! How much did it cost? And what type of place do you go to?

I had my big sunspot lasered recently. Really glad I did it. It’s still there but so much paler.

RandomQuest · 24/06/2022 10:14

Yes with an amazing product called Ambi Fade cream but I bought it in the US and I don’t think it’s available here except at stupidly inflated prices. Genius stuff though, mine were much worse than yours and it worked in under a month and they never came back (it’s been years now). If you know anyone going to the states soon, I’d ask them to get you some, it’s cheap and available in CVS and the like.

You can get tretinoin and hydroquinone from Dermatica online, it’s not expensive and really works. You need to wear factor 50 and also be aware that your skin will peel for a few weeks .

Thank you so much everyone for all of your advice, you've made me feel better already knowing that I can do something about them!

Thank you all xx

The aldi/lidl sun factor 50's are excellent quality and consistently come out tops in independent testing.

I have very sensitive skin and use the factor 50 extra sensitive for baby's and have found it great.

I had laser treatment when I was 40 for this, mine looked worse. We lived in a sunny climate.
It worked great. Now I'm 60 and it's coming back again, so I'm planning on doing it again.
