Advice on menstrual cup

Hi

Hoping someone can offer experience based advice.

Some years back I tried both the small and large version of the original brand Mooncup.

Unfortunately I struggled to go to the loo with it in, it was really slow, sometimes couldn't pee at all unless I'd remove the cup temporarily. Often it would feel like it was burning it was such irritation when trying to with it in.

Having to remove it every time you visit the smallest room in the house rather negates the whole convenient vibe and was v awkward when at the office.

So I abandoned it. But given that cups seems to be a way more popular product now and I know there are lots of competitor products can anyone please tell me if they experienced this same problem with that cup and if they moved to another cup and it was successful what specific brand and model of cup it is / was.

Thanks

Maybe a softer one. I don't like the rim on the mooncup so swapped to the lady cup
Meluna do a good range

I use the Tulip stem moon cup. As it suggests it has a slightly longer stem as it is halved, meaning you can empty it without removing it.
It may sit a bit higher, so perhaps less likely to hurt.
Their customer service is really good, so maybe you could ask them as they may know which would suit you best.

Bit personal, but it may be that you have a shorter cervix so it cant go as far in.

I have a deep cervix according to the nurse who does my smear tests, so I'm to ask for the largest speculum if she's not working haha

I agree with others you might want a softer one.

I like the stemless soft meluna - the only thing you have to be careful of is as the rim isn’t as sturdy there is always the possibility it doesn’t unfold properly.

Feminine Wear stocks a large range of cups and can also advise.
