Setting up flat pack piano stand - help needed please!

Posting for traffic/a rant - sorry!

It’s my first time putting together flat-pack furniture, and I’m putting together a piano stand.

I’ve read through the diagram a few times, and checked I’ve got all the right screws etc, but am still a bit stumped - and nervous about mucking it up! I don’t have anyone who can come over in person to help atm, unfortunately, so have phoned friends for guidance, but it’s still a bit tricky.

Diagrams and parts attached. I’d be really grateful if someone could help, please :)

It looks like the parts on the Right, metal threads with black plastic turners, are for attaching the actual keyboard to the stand so I’d assume they are to be done last.

the little metal bits with holes in (on the Left of photo) go in the strut/piece of wood that is in between the stand legs. They should just press in with a firm push. The holes need to be lined up so that from the outside of the legs when you put the long bolt in it can go through and into that hole, so line the hole facing that way before you press them in.It looks like you will need a screwdriver for the long bolt and the silver bit with the hole in the strut that it’s going in to, and you need to tighten them both so that the bolt is fixed tightly in to the strut. The little black things are to press on to cap the end so you can’t see the top of the bolts.

you are going to need to find something that you can lean the leg fairly upright against and have something the right height so you can rest the strut against whilst you do it, it would be easy to let it sag and the wood/board split at the screw hole.

Just use your initiative and try.

You're not using glue / nails.. if it goes a bit wrong just undo and start again.

I think we’ve got the same stand. Would it help you if I took pictures of the joints?

Thanks all! Yes please @anotherneutralname that would be really helpful! (It’s a Gear 4 stand, and I think the model of the piano is SDP-2, if that rings a bell?)

I think the only difference is ours has two little metal footplates sticking out the back, so ignore those!

I assembled this solo. From memory I think I took the central back beam and laid it flat on the floor, then joined one end-panel, then the other end-panel. Carefully stood it up, and then lined up the electronic piano so it fit flush into the top. As PP said, then screwed it on from underneath.

I’ve taken a photo from the back, and the side to show how it lines up, but let me know if you want another angle!
