Is there ANY point looking into surgery?

I’ve not worn ill feeling shoes for years, my Gran had them and my Mum, in her 70’s has one but they don’t seem as bad as mine 😬

Is surgery worth it or should I just wear moccasins from now on?!

Have the operations - it's usually day surgery nowadays, you leave on sticks with bandages, and afterwards you can wear any shoes you like. I didn't experience any pain at all, but to be fair that was the type of procedures I had: feet are very complicated and there are several types of surgery - and specialist podiatric surgeons too. The tip I would pass on is to buy two identical cheap pairs of trainers, one a couple of sizes bigger than your normal size. You can sell or donate the big ones later. You may need to get rid of some of your old shoes anyway. (I'm 73, by the way!)
