Worst road rage experience?

I once slowed down because the car in front was turning left, then allowed a car pulling out of that junction to merge onto the road.

Well the guy behind me in the van was insanely angry at this, started beeping, could see him screaming and shouting in my mirror and kept trying to intimidate me by driving too close. This went on for a good 20 minutes. He was in his work van too.

We obviously have different descriptions of what's an aggressive response.

A man tried to pull me out of the car when I had right of way and was already half way down the road when he pulled out and blocked me.

I put my hands up as if to say where can I go from here??? I still had my seatbelt on and it was summer so my window was open, the car door locks automatically when you start driving.

Luckily it was a busy summer day on the road during the World Cup and the guy behind me got out and helped.

I reported his plate and him grabbing me to police but I never had an update.

I was about 8 months pregnant driving to work on the motorway. Busy rush hour traffic. I let a car out who was waiting to merge and carried on. An orange Ford decided I should let him out too. By the time I realised he was still going to go I had to break quite sharply to let him in. He moved over one lane so we were driving side by side. He rolled down his window and was yelling at me. I put mine down to see what he was saying. Turns out he was just calling me names. When he called me a "fat fuck" I politely informed him I was due to give birth next month. He rolled up his window and nearly caused a crash to get away from me.

Out cycling in a group and a 4x4 did a dangerous close pass.

One of the cyclists shouted and waved his fist. 4x4 did a u turn and drove straight into us.

Van in front of us driving erratically, speeding up, slamming breaks on, swerving. He pulled up so husband went to the PASSENGER SIDE (before anyone suggests he started anything 🙄) and asked the bloke if he was ok or needed any help. Bloke flew out the passenger side, attacked my husband with a screwdriver and when that didn’t work he got him in a headlock and tried to strangle him. When I tried to get him off he smacked me round the head and threw me into the road. False plates, police never caught him despite many witnesses. So yeah, I’d say he needed help.

For context, there’d been a case just the week before of a crash in our town because the driver was having a heart attack. That’s why we immediately leapt to ‘needs help’ instead of ‘arsehole’.

I was in my early 20's and has been driving for about 3 years or so. I was driving along an A road doing 45mph, when another car pulled out in front of me causing me to slam my brakes on.

As I pulled away again I shook my head to myself and probably uttered obscenities to myself about this idiot driver.

He was still in front of me as we pulled up to some traffic lights, I stopped behind him. He then proceeded to get out of his car and march up to my window - shouting at me for 'shaking my head' at him. I locked the doors and looked straight ahead to ignore him. He kept banging on the window asking me what my 'fucking problem' was and how dare I 'Shake my head' at him.
The lights turned green and he was still ranting. At that point I just beeped my horn to try and get the attention of other drivers and sulked back to his car.

I had to follow him for a further 15 mins or so and made sure I kept a really distance behind him, but he kept slamming his brakes on purpose then pulling away really quickly.

I still to this day have no idea why he was such an idiot. I wish I was older back then because I would have given him a stern word and not sat there meekly.

OP did you see the name on the side of the van? If so, report him

This happened in June last year. Probably a bit late

Me and DH were threatened by a man who sped past us in a 30 zone (we were doing 30). He pulled in front of us and slammed his brakes on. When we got to the traffic lights they turned red. He waved a large knife up at us in the rear view mirror and I got my phone out to take a picture of his number plate.

He then flung his car door open and started heading towards us. Poor DH had to drive away very erratically and ran a red light to get away from him.

The police couldn't have been less interested when I rang and reported him.

A guy in Asda car park of all places. My wife was waiting to left , and for some reason he starts beeping her. I can’t remember why, but he ends up getting out his car and rowing with her about when it’s appropriate to beep and she had nowhere to go.

Annoyingly I had to intervene at that point, as we had a baby in the car and he was clearly still escalating.

Absolute weirdo, just no need for that level of aggression over what essentially was nothing.

As someone who rides a bike (as well as being a motorist) I've had a few and now wont engage if possible. I dont know these people and need to get them out of my bubble as quickly as possible. one particular incident was having a car pass me and and another cyclit as we were riding side by side (we could/can btw) but I usually move behind into single file if I hear the car. red pickup truck (HS 39 was the reg) roars past sounding his horn. He got the finger from me and half a mile further on he's stopped and asks me what I'm going to do about it. Er I'm not getting into a fight about some road issue. he rants on and the lady whose house we are stopped outside asks the driver to moderate his language. he then turns on her (she is prob late 60s) and tells her she is 'a whore' to 'go inside and play with herself' to F-Off blah blah. He goes on at her for what seemed forever then finishes with threatening to come and cut her throat and those of her dogs!! Made me realise these nutjobs are out there and I dont know how a situation could end.
