Sorry tmi, 2 months ago I made some poos with bright blood in them then it stops, did blood test and everything normal. However my bowel movements are all over the place. Sometimes constipated, sometimes nothing for 2 days, then diahrea 4 times a day. I have almost all the symptoms for bowel cancer apart from weight loss and tiredness. I have done a fit test and I’m waiting for the results. I’m petrified:( I’m sorry I just need to write it all out there. I’m so anxious :( thank you for reading me

Please don’t worry about having a colonoscopy.
The prep isn’t much fun, but the actual procedure is fine - take any sedation and pain relief you are offered and you won’t remember much about it.

did you find out what was causing your symptoms I’m having issues
4 months ago after having my c section I noticed I was having bloody mucus and bowel habits totally changed it then changed and I was having urgency to go the toilet with lose bowels and blood stomach cramps every morning before o went the toilet and then the cramps would settle this all went away for 2 months now it’s back again I did do a calprotectin tests 4 months ago and it was 157 so slightly raised no infections as I got checked for this
but now symptoms have returned I have just had to do a another stool test I’m so worried I’ve got 2 small children the thought of anything being wrong with me (serious) thinking the worst suppose everyone does

Hey just wondered if there was any update on this?

I’ve got a sigmoidoscopy next week after having symptoms like blood in stools and more frequent bowel habits. Feeling really scared as I also have health anxiety.
