Amazon adverts disguised as threads?

The heel balm and spf ‘threads’ are just links to Amazon.

I know they are promoted but I still thought they would have thread content where I could see what mumsnetters actually were saying about them without going directly to Amazon.

AIBU to find this annoying and a bit sneaky?

This is the first time I’ve had this so not sure if it’s been a long term thing.

They've been there for ages. Mumsnet is "free" ergo you are the product!

It's becoming a much more common form of advertising

But it says its an advert, there's no disguise.

It's not like a real 'fake thread' where someone posts as if they're a real person, but use a really fake 'advertisers tone' writing style and then just add a link as if they're pretending they're just a normal user wanting to tell MN about their favourite suncream.

You don't have to click on it, or buy the item from Amazon.
