Taking the kids to London today. Getting on a train local to us that arrives in Marylebone about 8.15am.

We’ve decided not to head for The Mall as I’m sure it will be a bun fight long before we arrive.

Instead going for what we hope will be the slightly better option of St James’ Park to watch on the big screens. Taking picnic blankets etc.

Only I’m not sure where we should be getting the tube to to access the park in the most efficient way. I’m not someone who knows London well and I just want to be sure what I’m doing and where I’m going when I get off at Marylebone.

Shamelessly posting here for traffic.

Realise capitalising T on tube may have been better for the reader!

You Can walk to Baker Street and then take the jubilee line to Westminster or its about a 45 min walk from Marylebone. If you go into Google maps you can put in your journey and see public transport available.

Get the Victoria line down to Victoria? Use Citymapper app for advice on alternative routes.

Walk to Baker Street and get the jubilee to green park and the park is right next to the station

Another pretty direct route -- switch to the Tube at Marylebone. Take the Bakerloo line toward Elephant & Castle. Change at Embankment; follow the signs to the District/Circle line Westbound. Take any westbound train on either line to St. James's Park. This puts you on the south side of the park just below Birdcage Walk (opposite side from the Mall), but if you do decide to head for the Mall it's an easy walk through the park.

Good luck OP. I think St James Park will be pretty chaotic too, but the atmosphere will be amazing. I’m taking my daughter on Saturday, hoping to watch the party on big screens, but otherwise just going in to absorb the atmosphere. Treated us to a hotel (we only live 30 mins train ride away but we like to stay in town every few months and we always go and enjoy St James Park) so we are going to try and get a good spot for the pageant on Sunday too. Enjoy! Thankfully we can get an overground from London Bridge to Charing Cross so no tube needed, or we can go into Victoria and walk

I’d also second Jubilee line from Baker Street to Westminster or Green Park if you don’t mind a 10 min walk on either side. It’s a nice walk from Westminster, and a decently laid out station to exit IMO. I’m a big fan of the jubilee line as the platform has doors and people tend to queue in a more predictable manner rather than a crush on the platform & a scrum for the doors.
