To not be bothered about the jubilee weekend?

Don't get me wrong I love our Queen and all she has does and I think 70 years is amazing.
But I'm working Friday and Sunday for my usual minimum wage.. so it's really just another weekend other than a hog roast on Saturday night.
Is anyone else really not feeling that bothered about the jubilee weekend?

I've chooses to work both bank holidays (self employed) so i don't lose 2 days money.

There's a street party planned in our village on Sunday but rain is forecast all day here so it'll probably be shit.

Last time there was a street party for the diamond jubilee, several groups stayed out drinking way past midnight, brought out some load karaoke, pissed everyone off then a fight broke out and the police attended. So far removed from the life of our dear queen Grin

I don't think most people want to fawn over the queen, it's just an excuse for a party.

Not bothered at all. I might watch some of the concert out of idle curiosity though.

I don’t work school holidays so the bank holidays are lost on me and there are no community events or street parties near us so we will just be doing the days out etc we would normally do half term week, it makes no difference to me other than DP losing two days pay 😞

I'm self employed and won't be taking a holiday. Also a republican, so have no interest in celebrating the monarchy.

I'm as fond of a get together as the next person, but not to celebrate the above.
