Any cardiologist about?

God it's a weird one.

So.

I've had long QT
LBBB
And short QT

What is happening me?

GP doesn't feel it's worthy of a referral to a cardiologist. Mainly because the GP won't see you in person.

Hi OP, please don't take medical advice from strangers on the internet - you have no idea of anyone's qualifications or motivations. Ask for a second opinion from a real life doctor if you feel your main doctor isn't taking it seriously.

Have you already been under the care of a cardiologist? If so - contact the cardiology nurses explaining the issue and ask what you need to do now. I did that and they discussed it with the cardiologist who asked my GP to re-refer me so I have had a holter monitor to see what's going on and am now waiting for an outpatients appointment.

If you have not previously been under the care of a cardiologist, how do you know what your symptoms indicate? I'm not being rude here, I don't know what your background is. If you aren't a trained professional I can understand your GP might not take your concerns that seriously (although they should at least see you!). If that is the case then I would definitely try to see another doctor.

Small ECG changes can show up, especially in automatic readings, without being clinically significant. However you can always keep asking for a referral since you have ongoing concerns. No one can evaluate you based on an online discussion! I have long QT and bundle branch block among other things so I understand why you'd be worried, but there are many causes and it's not necessarily as serious as it sounds when you Google. Your GP has a fuller clinical picture they are using to assess. I would definitely encourage you to see another GP or even a private cardiologist if you feel very worried or unheard, though. Women's cardiac issues are under treated.

I rang my real life GP surgery today and there is no GP working today. In a practice for 8000 people. No GP.

Who's diagnosed Long QT if a cardiologist hasn't seen you...?

If you want to see a GP make an appointment. If there isn't a GP in today then make an appointment for another day surely?

If you want to be seen ASAP, go back to A&E, but you can expect a long wait. It sounds like the ED doctors didn't feel it warranted admission, so they'll be expecting you to follow up with your own GP.

I doubt an A and E doc would have diagnosed Long QT syndrome and not referred you given that it can be fatal.

Hi Op. I'm not a cardiologist but just wanted to say I know how scary it is when there may be a problem with your heart and of course you then turn to the internet to get information if you can't get it from a doctor. Please just make an appointment with GP as soon as you can. I had problems years ago and was finally diagnosed with an arrhythmia which was controlled by medication and then ablated.I hope you get some answers soon.

You can have lengthened QT on an ECG without having long QT syndrome. The ED wouldn't diagnose the latter.

@JetTail You were not admitted by the ED doctors, though, so they are expecting you to follow up with your GP. Nobody can give you personalised advice on a thread here, only very general comments.

Oh lord, no. 😅 As I said in multiple posts, I have multiple cardiac issues myself. Lots of admissions and experience with this.
