I like to come upstairs and watch a film or documentary on my iPad. DH follows me and starts cuddling me and talking to me. It sounds horrible but it drives me mad

AIBU or miserable and anti social?

My god I feel stifled just reading that!
i thank my lucky stars on a daily Basis that dh is not a cuddler- I can’t stand being pawed at or overly touched, I get touched out enough being at work.
we don’t lie on the same sofa cuddling watching tv either, we tend to have our own space in the evenings after dinner. I don’t watch telly/films really, the noise drives me nuts.
It sounds like we don’t even like each other 😂 quite the opposite, we spend time together but actually do lead quite independent lives and rarely spend whole evenings with each other. I’m currently lying on the bed after my bath while he’s downstairs cooking dinner. I’ll see him at dinner and then he’ll go elsewhere to watch a bit of telly and I’ll probably go to bed and read - on my own! Which is how we both like it.

You are not being unreasonable if that's how you feel, but he's not being unreasonable either. I think most couples would expect to spend most evenings together.

Can you find a compromise? You do this twice a week or something?
