Interview

I have an interview tomorrow that I'm dreading. I have already had an interview there and didn't get the job.

Currently I work part time in the NHS and we have been short staffed and workload has increased and general morale hasn't been great hence looking around for another job. New job is a small supportive company and I think I'd learn a lot from being there.

The pay for new job is about the same ( maybe slightly less if NHS get a pay rise)
Only a few days sick days a year and pension will be less than NHS one.
It's also a full time job which I convinced myself would be ok but I think will be too much ATM. Also although the office is up the road there may possibly be more mileage involved.

So should I go? Or cancel?
As it's my second interview I'm not sure if I have less or more chance of getting the job! I'm really struggling with this decision.

Thanks in advance

Go for it, even if they offer you the dont have to take the job.

Think if it as experience interviewing and then you can decide once they tell you either way and if it’s positive what the package is.

Going for the interview doesn’t mean you have to take the job.

Only once they offer, barter if it’s not what you want. Ask for 4 days / more money etc. Don’t get stressed over something that hasn’t even happened yet. You got this!

Yes, go for it. As Applegreenb says, it's good experience and gives you the chance to ask them what they can offer you. A second interview means they are interested in you.

Ask about career progressions and training - how they recognize hard workers and support staff.

Second interview in my experience is so darn close to getting it. Do you know if it is just you in the race or a couple others.

I would say go, better to be able to turn the job down than regret not going. Whilst I haven't had the luxury at all of 2nd interviews this time job hunting, I'm finding with first interviews alone, if Employers aren't getting enough candidates to interview or applying, then that creates added waiting time for the likes of me, who are immediately available to start work and end up losing out attending such early interview(s) when the employer could reasonably forget who I was when their alleged role becomes available in two months time.

The only two job interviews I got to turn down in the past week as based on their distance/lack of confidence I could do the full JD when I thought more deeply and be responsible about it, when I've discovered the weird logic that is going on with other job adverts.
