These two had no business being together as it sounds like their relationship was toxic pretty much from the beginning. They obviously both have serious issues. It does come across like Amber is lying and that is absolutely awful for the real victim of domestic abuse. Johnny isn’t a saint either and I think there were times he may have been abuse towards her. In reality, who the hell knows what the real truth is. I’m not sure either of them know as it sounds like they were off their face more often than not! The whole thing is just pathetic imho.

If she is lying then it's all on her. Seems like back tracking a bit in final statement.. 'if he's done it just once then she should win'.

I find the whole matter repulsive. I've not been following it closely, but hard to avoid it entirely.

The "I'm sick of both of them, they're as bad as each other" seems to have become the party line for people who held up amber as the victim and accused anyone who thought there might be two sides to the story as being DV excusers, misogynistic or as going against the "we believe her" campaign.

Then when it came out that the woman involved was potentially the abusive one it very quickly became a "oh they're both as bad as each other/toxic"

I was saying to dh (who is too invested) that nobody will ever truly know how much is lies and how much isn't. I think it's somewhere in the grey area in between. I hate that it was televised and that people are choosing sides and saying how much they hate the other, they don't know them!!!
