Camping without dp

I usually have to work most of the school holidays with being self employed but after a tough few months (bereavement) I decided to take this coming half term off. We recently bought a new tent so I booked a campsite not too far away from home to test it out and also it's near a big walk that my ds really wants to do. All booked and paid for, going this Sunday. It was going to be ds and I but then dp managed to get time off and was coming too. Yesterday he tested positive for Covid and said he's going to be too ill to come or to do the walk and that I should defer the booking until later in the year. The thing is, I haven't got the money to go and book something else for ds for next week and I don't want to have taken time off unpaid to stay at home. Also next school holidays isn't until the end of July so it's a long wait and we don't want to go on a Friday-Sunday as it's a very popular tourist spot and wouldn't be able to go until after school. WIBU to just go without dp?

What a jealous bellend. Just say you're going without him, you cannot be expected to give up a holiday for you and your son for a boyfriend you don't even live with. He's so unreasonable. Him being a drama llama is funny now but imagine living with him! This would put me off him yuck
