I'm currently waiting for a mammogram. I had stage 3c breast cancer 10 years ago. Full left side plus lymph nodes removal. 6 months of chemo. Tested for BRAC2 positive. Had ovaries removed due to inconclusive cysts.
Now today the Dr has told me I had a right mx stage 2 and radiotherapy.

I corrected him but ffs this is crap. Is this now the nhs?

I can understand you must be very stressed right now but gently I don't think this needs to be a bigger than it is - a simple admin error. Your treatment and surgery are what is important. As long as you are receiving good care - doctors and secretaries and admin assistants etc are human and not infallible. This is why there are multiple checks in place when people go for surgery etc. I very much hope you have good news at your mammogram.

It’s frustrating isn’t it? I came off tamoxifen after 6 months due to horrible side effects. I discussed it with my consultant and told my GP and surgeon. Six years on, I still have to correct whichever healthcare professional tells me I took it for 5 years. I don’t know what the answer is but I sympathise.

Ive written several letters to my new consultant correcting information in reports they have sent me, no notice is taken. Its worrying as it might impact my treatment.
