Kids on garage roofs

AIBU to worry and what would you do?
kids running and playing on garage roofs. Probably would have done similar myself as a child but the mum in me is worried they will go through the roof or fall off!
Tonight I finally shouted over to them as I saw a wee boy roughly 6 running back and forward jumping the stepped roofs with his laces hanging out 🙈 i just shouted, maybe not the smartest idea boys and your running up there with your laces undone! Your going to fall and break your neck! They aren’t cheeky boys at all and after that came down and played elsewhere but I’m pretty sure they will be back as it seems to be there latest thing.

Ok thanks.

They will soon stop when one is injured
They won't. I remember a kid falling off a rope swing high above a river, banging his head and drowning.
A couple of weeks later the swing had been reinstated and kids playing on it

Boys will be boys

As long as they don't damage the garage roof.

If you know the garages are owned by a specific council/housing association, you could try calling them and explaining what's happening. They won't want to run the risk of anyone injuring themselves, so may have anti climb paint / other stuff they use to deter people scaling their walls/buildings.

So it's the fault of the owners of the garages that parents can't be bothered to control their prodigy? No doubt they would be quick enough to demand damages with menace if their out of control brats fell off. Kerching!

I tried calling the council to ask about vandal paint or something but all they were interested in was if I knew names and where they lived. Short of following them home I have no idea but assume in this street. It’s a massive street with other streets off it too so not necessarily this exact street. On man regularly uses his garage and I’m pretty sure if he catches them will give them a right mouthful so hoping that’s what happens. I’ve done the best I can but as someone else said they will move onto another area. Far too young imo to be far from home but then I get laughed at for being too protective. Each to their own I suppose.

What's a play street?

Growing up in the '70's, they were usually a smallish terraced street that cars are not allowed through unless they live there. They shouldn't have a through road. Those were the days of 1 or no cars per family though 😶
