I'm moving house tomorrow (or, technically, today...the removal van arrives at 8am) The flat I live in at the moment isn't anything especially exciting; reasonably spacious, good transport links. I've been here a year - DH and I moved here this time last year. But - DH passed away in December, so now I'm moving out by myself, to somewhere I have no ties to, and I'm just feeling really sad.

AIBU to ask for a handhold?

I'm doing the same thing, lost dp 7 years ago & the time is right now to move & have a fresh start. I've saved hard the last few years so I can afford new furniture, every room in my flat has memories of him & I need to let go. I hope your new home brings you happiness x

I am so sorry . You'll make your new place a home and his presence will be there.
