never played before today and I’ll probably bin it before the end of the day…

I have lost years of my life to Candy crush. Current level is 4236. 🙈🙈🙈.

Also embarrassed to admit I am also similarly addicted to the Jelly and Soda versions.

To be fair I spent most of 2021 with awful back pain which eased when I was lying almost flat so spent a lot of time doing not very much.

It's addictive and it never ends. I read something interesting about why people find it so hard to quit games like candy crush- humans naturally have a "quest" mindset, in that we want to set out to do a task and then do it- we expect things to have an end and a feeling of completion. So endless games like CC and things like scrolling on social media hook us- it's not possible to reach the end so we just keep going.

I got kicked out of all the candy crush games the other week because they suddenly decided I was under 18! Bastards! Im back now after a few sarcastic emails to them.

6183 - been playing for years. I remember being very anxious when changing phone handsets at one time, that my progress would be lost!

I like the game, I like that it's limited to 5 games at a time 15 if then play on my iPad and kindle. I play in bed listening to my audio book.

I’m on level 8036, I think I’ve been playing it for about 10 years now.

My 5 year old now has it on her iPad but obviously it isn’t connected to Facebook or anything, she just likes swapping the candies!

I've wasted years of my life on it...
Don't play as much as I used to, but at one stage I went back to the start and replayed levels so I got the top score of all my friends...
How sad is that...
