I have endometriosis and had adenomyosis (now had a hysterectomy) and my tubes were riddled with fimbrial cysts.

I managed by some miracle to conceive naturally. I didn’t know I had the above at the time, despite many years of pain and doctors fobbing me off. I suspect age may have also been on my side. There is hope.

I had endo and both my Fallopian tubes were blocked.

My consultant did a laparotomy to attempt to repair the tubes and I got pregnant naturally the month before I was going to start ivf.

Good luck to you x

I have endometriosis , I'm in my 50"s now and still suffering (no menopause yet).
I wasn't diagnosed until I was 30, I had been married since my early twenties and had lost all hope of becoming a parent.

At 36 we had a wonderful surprise 😃 , he is sitting his GCSES this week. Don't give up op.xx

Thank you.

Unfortunately the chances of saving one of my tubes are extremely low as it is so badly blocked and damaged.

Im just praying that natural conception is likely with one remaining tube (which im unsure of the quality yet) and having endometriosis - again I'm unsure how bad this is atm.
Xx

My best friend fell pregnant nearly 2 years ago after 3 endo surgeries and one ectopic pregnancy where she lost her fallopian tube. She fell pregnant after 6 weeks of trying - and the egg came from the ovary without a tube! ❤

Have you been offered any drug treatment for the endometriosis?

At different times, I had injections of Zoladex or Prostap to treat it. This was over 20 years ago so there may be other options available now.

hakunamatataaa · 18/05/2022 20:47

@FrogFairy

No, only the pill to which I have been on and off for years.
Unfortunately the damage is done and drugs won't reverse it :(

My memory was a bit fuzzy so I had to google it.

The zoladex would stop your periods for six months giving you a break from the pain and also shrinks the endometriosis lesions. So while not a cure, it might help. I should imagine it is advisable to ttc as soon as your periods return to make the most of it.

like I said I am now many years out of date and there could be newer treatments, but it might be worth a chat with your gynae consultant.

I have endo (ando, fibroids, low AMH etc) and two blocked tubes OP. I know you want a natural pregnancy, I did too, but IVF can be a great option and I really didn’t find it too bad after 5 years of trying and not knowing I couldn’t be successful.

I remember my consultant just pointing out that it only reduced your chances by 50% to lose a tube/ovary - so instead of having a shot every month, you have one every other month. Still not bad!

all the very best of luck OP! Xxx

Ooh me! One tube, one ovary. Other ovary had to be removed as endo caused adhesion to bowel. Natural conception after about a year or so? Son is 15 now so a bit fuzzy on the details. We were trying for a year then referred for tests and potential prescription of clomid. While waiting, did a test and was pregnant. Hope that helps? Was delighted as also have PCOS so did not fancy my chances!

hakunamatataaa · 19/05/2022 01:26

@FrogFairy

Thank you - I will definitely have a look into it!
My pain is very manageable atm with only mild symptoms. Having the laparoscopy asap too. X

@Passanotherjaffacake

Thank you for replying.

I think everybody wants and expects a natural pregnancy unfortunately don't they! ☹️
I definitely wouldn't ever rule out ivf, mentally I'm petrified of ending up having to have both tubes out and my only possibility of having a child will be if ivf does work. I'm so stuck on the 'what if it never works' stage, it's really hard to see anything but bad ☹️ xx

@WittyBrittleTrier

Thank you, this does give me a bit of hope!

As I've said below, I'm struggling to see any light in this awfully dark tunnel im stuck in! Xx

I am from a one-tube mother! My mum had an eptopic pregnancy before I was born, and had that tube removed. A year or so later I was born!

Lengokengo · 19/05/2022 01:35

I am 50 by the way, so it was all natural and a long time ago!

BigBadJohn · 19/05/2022 01:54

Read up about Serrapeptase (must be 'enteric coated', check the label before you buy) and Nattokinase. Both available online. Very helpful for endometriosis.
