A lot of pop songs have lyrics and music written by Swedish people.

Some of them together have moved to the US and have become hit factories like Stock, Aiken and Waterman were but were/are more discrete so you don't tend to know who is behind pop songs.

One of my siblings who works in the publishing/rights side of the industry first told me this decades ago.

As the Ukraine would have won with 5 minutes of total silence and the UK came second, can we consider that the UK actually won in a way??? I've not heard either of them, never heard any Eurovision for 40 years, didn't even know it was still going.

I've heard the Swedish song quite a few times on the radio here in Scandinavia and it's definitely grown on me. The first time i thought it was a bit mehh, but now i sing/wail along when it comes on the radio. Maybe others have had a similar reaction?
