Do you batch cook?

I don't batch cook. I sometimes cook slightly bigger amounts with the intention of putting portions in the freezer for another day. It doesn't happen often as someone in the house will fancy a light supper and stuff their face with one of the portions and then someone else will eat the other for their lunch. If there's more spare portions then they get put into the freezer.

Do you batch cook? If so what's the purpose? Is it just to have a "home made ready meal" in the freezer? Time saving, money saving, energy saving?

If you batch cook, how many portions do you cook at a time?

I do more in the winter. I have three slow cookers that I get out and I make Either

Chicken chassuer
Chilli
Spag bol
Sausage casserole
Lamb and red wine
Beef stew
Chicken curry
Thai green curry

Then I do a shepherds pie and a lasagne in the oven.

Saves having to cook too much through the week.

We don’t have a huge freezer space ( 3 drawers) but it only really contains meals that are already cooked from leftovers or batch cooking. We have some frozen berries, peas, spinach, maybe some ice cream. Don’t tend to buy anything else from freezer aisle

I batch cook for DP as he works very long shifts and won’t always eat properly otherwise
I get bored easily so don’t cook huge batches for my household but often double up a recipe if it’s something that freezes well eg chilli or things like a passata based sauce which is very adaptable

I do - I try to do one batch meal a week, with generally 2 extra meal's worth to go in the freezer.

I get bored easily too which is why I'm glad of my big freezer.
I rarely eat the same meal twice in a week, but don't need to as everything I batch cook freezes so well.
