Maybe I am being a bit thick, but which part of "to not understand why people fancy Jason Momoa?" explains that "Of course the OP understands different people like different things."?!

The OP's thread title would imply that they actually DON'T understand that different people might like different things or they wouldn't have said that they didn't understand why people fancy him because if they DID understand that different people like different things, they wouldn't need to ask in the first place! Did you perhaps read the thread title incorrectly?

To me he falls into the category of man we are supposed to fancy. Many women will see the latest approved hot thing and chime in with 'wouldn't kick him out of bed' or 'I would' etc.

I noticed this first time round with Colin Firth, a man who looks like your mates 50 year old dad. But because he emerged from some water without a shirt we were ordered to swoon and so we did.

Well, not me. I still fancy Jeff Bridges and Jarvis Cocker.

I don't get it either. I saw a piece of merchandise in a shop the other day and thought it featured Hagrid , but it turned out it was JM as Acquaman!

That being said, I am sure there are some Hagrid fanciers out there.

I don't think it was meant as a literal question. More a rhetorical start to a discussion. And in that context it has worked very well.
