If I have a problem dh will try to solve it even if it's unsolvable (I don't ask him to) today I'm in pain with my back, I was debating rest v movement. He suggested ringing the doctors and asking to speak to a physio. I explain a, drs is shut b, there is a several month wait list to see a physio you can't just ring. He said well ring a private one, I said I canto make an appointment on Monday . He genuinely seemed to think I could just randomly chat with a physio on a Sunday. It doesn't matter except then he acts like I'm trying to be a martyr rather than explaining the physio don't answer the phone. Aibu?

Ask him to ring for you if it's that easy!

you might find one that has an online booking option.

Are you just annoyed because you’re in pain? Sounds like he was just trying to offer help

Only advice he’ll get today is 111.
Lie on the floor on your back. If too uncomfortable or difficult lie flat on your bed. Very, very gently, push one leg down today’s the foot of the bed—- it’ll only move an inch at most, that’s fine. Relax then do the same with the other leg. Repeat once or twice but rest, stop if you get sharp pain. I’ve found this has saved my back many times.
Also try ice packs wrapped in tea towel on the painful area.
Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you that's really helpful.

Yes probably less tolerant I've been in pain since Friday ( I know it's not that long really) I'd just sooner he suggest nothing than say something that's impossible and act like I'm rejecting his good ideas. He's used a physio he knows how it works.

I found the best thing is to keep moving. But when I needed to sit, a reclining garden chair was best.
