Commercial vans parking issue

I've name changed as potential outing.

For context, I live on a road with a school that obviously gets very congested twice a day. Luckily every house has a small driveway so those who live here are fine but it means there's not many other places available.

When we moved in a few years ago, we noticed two big work vans from the same company were often parked on the road. We just presumed the company belonged to a neighbour.

However, there are now four large vans (same company branding) parked outside most of the day and every night. The person who owns them doesn't even live on the road but parks them here and walks to a nearby road (he can't park there as it's a main road)

It's particularly annoyed me today as they block my visibility so despite edging out of my drive very slowly, I nearly got hit by another car who was speeding down the road and couldn't see me.

AIBU to think when you have multiple vehicles you should either have a property where you can park them or lease a space at a depot?

We have a couple of commercial vans that park on our narrow road and it causes endless beeping and yelling during rush hour as people try to edge by then find cars coming the other way. What's really frustrating is that one van owner lives in the road and has an enormous empty drive and the other is a Network Rail van which sits there for days on end when there is a depot a couple of miles away! I do think there should be some legislation about this.

A while ago in Portsmouth they trialled allowing vans to park for free in car parks over night (or park and ride?! I can't remember) anyway it was a big thing all over local news about saving all the tiny side streets around there and how getting the vans out means theres more space and more parking for residents. Its not been mentioned much since so i have no idea if it worked or still continues but it was a good idea.

YANBU Vans have got bigger and more numerous over the years. If there's a row of them visibility is zero. I am not snobbish about them - just concerned about the safety.

Thankfully we have covenants in place that mean no commercial vehicles can be parked overnight here. I would not complain if a neighbour occasionally left their work van on their drive but people have been fined for parking from a nearby trading estate
