This is not a unique, covetable design. This is a safety item, misappropriated as “fashion”.

Who would actually want to wear it? Have the designers run out of ideas?

Thank goodness VAT is included in that price! Though possibly refundable as a work expense for the fashion conscious tradesperson?

Oh, wow 😂

Lots of people apparently

Only 1 left in stock - make it yours!

Indoorcamping · 29/04/2022 17:13

😂they are absolutely taking the piss with that.

MelvinThePenguin · 29/04/2022 17:15

I can’t decide which one confuses me more! They really have lost it.

As have Facebook’s ad algorithms. Why they showed me this, I’ve no idea!

That's just offensive. A designer imitation of a garment working people wear to do their job safely.

What's next? A designer copy of paramedics gear, or a Tesco uniform?

Cocopopsss · 29/04/2022 17:26

😂😂 who would be enough of a fool to pay that much for it too!

WonderingWanda · 29/04/2022 17:27

These are truly ridiculous. There is no way if I saw that Jacket in the street I'd think high end fashion. And the shoes? Surely I can make my own.

dudsville · 29/04/2022 17:27

Wealthy humans are strange.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 29/04/2022 17:28

Sometimes I think these brands troll us on purpose. Someone pissed on a staff night out there has said "we could sell a binman uniform for 3 grand if we stuck the name on, because some people have more money than sense"

And then they followed through on all those bonkers drunk ramblings.

Expect a hat soon in the style of a traffic cone.

PatchworkElmer · 29/04/2022 17:37

@nearlyspringyay same. Got one of those coats in my car boot right now. Winner.

RhythmStick · 29/04/2022 17:38

People will buy it. Those people are missing a few brain cells and have more money than (fashion) sense.

CallMeNutribullet · 29/04/2022 17:39

I can honestly say everything balenciaga has made that I've seen over the last few years has been beyond hideous. Yet people lap it up

stilldumdedumming · 29/04/2022 17:40

Interesting I've just seen someone with orange hi via jacket and trousers and orange rimmed sunglasses- he was very clean - so is this a thing? Was he not on the way to work?

I saw a teenage lad walking home from school with a traffic cone on his head. He may have already patented the idea... 🤣

I just googled “hi vis fashion”. The first thing that came up was this…

Omlet.co.uk, for any high fashion types who want to accessorise with their pet chicken.

I'd never heard of balenciaga until a couple of weeks ago, and I only heard of them then because I noticed a bill board advert with the most hideous outfit on. So hideous that I had to check out the name of the company that felt the outfit was their best one to advertise with.
Seems to be a theme.

MissWired · 29/04/2022 18:07

I wear something very similar as part of my uniform for my job.

Where I earn £1600 take home a month for working very very physically hard indeed.

Tone deaf and frankly enraging with life being as it is for working class people right now.

Dystopian, indeed!

Same. Those horrible 'sock trainers' started it for Balenciaga. Just horrendous. I think they're on a massive wind-up to see how far they can push it and the designers wet themselves laughing every time an order comes in or they see a vapid fashion victim wearing one of their 'just for a laugh' garments.

I think Kim Kardashian keeps Balenciaga's coffers topped up enough for them to try it on with laughable experiments such as the hi-vis jacket and the croc heels.

theodosiaburr · 29/04/2022 18:11

Is there a lot of fake balenciaga about? When I went to Butlins recently I noticed a lot of young people wearing the sock trainers. Online tells me £600!
