Once or twice a month. Small garden.

Scooby5kids · 27/04/2022 21:43

Every week

Bryonny84 · 27/04/2022 22:23

At this time of year DP cuts the grass once a week.

RagingRagingAndMoreRaging · 27/04/2022 22:27

No mow May. Yay!

We haven’t yet this year. Probably will this weekend but then won’t in May. It’s amazing how many different flowers come up when you leave it. Just when you think you should mow - another lot come up. Lovely. 🌸

Jinglebellsoncake · 27/04/2022 22:29

Every day 😃
we have a robot lawn mower who does its thing Every morning. (It’s almost silent so didn’t disturb)

Pumperthepumper · 27/04/2022 22:30

Another for no mow may! It’s mad how much people hate long grass.

Crikeyblimey · 27/04/2022 22:35

My mother used to say if you think the grass needs cutting, you should have done it yesterday 🤣

i, however, cut ours every 2 weeks or so in the growing season but also embrace no mow may (which I appreciate is the growing season but hey ho).

ThatsBullshirt · 27/04/2022 22:37

Every two to three weeks with normally one of those weeks being filled with me going "I really need to cut that bloody grass but I can't be bothered today"

Indoctro · 27/04/2022 22:37

2-3 times a week. Robotic mower.

Shinyandnew1 · 27/04/2022 22:39

2 weeks, ish.

As little as possible. It's better for the environment to do it less, and causes less noise pollution too. In our area there is a No Mow May happening.

DeusInAbsentia · 27/04/2022 22:44

I don’t until either end of may.
no mow may is a wonderful thing.

mum2jakie · 27/04/2022 22:45

I've done the first cut of the year but will be doing no mow May next month for the bees!

DramaAlpaca · 27/04/2022 22:59

Whenever it starts to annoy DH. We've a lot of sloping lawn and I can't physically start the mower, so it's his job. It's done at least once a week in summer.

czycoup · 27/04/2022 23:04

Whenever I think the neighbours might start to gossip about our laziness Grin

BeaLola · 27/04/2022 23:08

We cut our small lawn about every two 10days to 2 weeks.

Bless him my dear Dad (who is 90) cuts his much more sizeable lawns several times a week !😮with a manual mower (he doesnt trust the electric one we bought him) & he has stripes .

His lawns look like a thing of beauty .... a few years back he was still using the plasterer knife to "smooth" the edges - the edges were crisp & blade sharp.

He is amazing - he made me laugh yesterday when whilst on the phone mentioning how he had just come in from finishing some chore off he said something along the lines of "when I am older I may not be able to do this job so well" ....

5zeds · 27/04/2022 23:08

At the weekend if it’s dry.

AnotherTroyforHertoBurn · 27/04/2022 23:11

Gardener does comes every two weeks, so does it either weekly or bi weekly depending.

Lilyhatesjaz · 27/04/2022 23:13

Monthly ish we cut around any interesting wild flowers.
When I had a free range rabbit we didn't need to cut it at all.

Walserwasstrange · 28/04/2022 00:24

I'm not cutting it at the moment, and haven't for a while. Instead I've been sowing it with wildflower seeds, to attract pollinators like bees. Also embracing the meadow...

AlwaysLatte · 28/04/2022 00:38

Once a week at the moment, but twice or even three times a week during the summer. My husband likes it super short!

bloodywhitecat · 28/04/2022 00:40

Weekly now I have learned to start the mower. I don't hate long grass but one of my little ones has mild CP and falls over a lot if I don't keep on top of it. I have left DH's wild patches alone though, he'd like that.

Ponderingwindow · 28/04/2022 00:44

Once or twice a week. We live someplace it grows quickly.

letting it get long also invites unwelcome creatures into the garden in our area.

Coulddowithanap · 28/04/2022 06:57

Depends on the weather and if it needs cut. Might be every weekend if it needs it. If I can't be bothered I'll leave it longer, maybe 2 to 3 weeks.

TabithaTittlemouse · 28/04/2022 07:26

We have it cut fortnightly although we also have a meadow area which is flourishing.
