To ask for advice on what drinks to get in for a dinner party tonight?

Name changed as this is ultra outing.

I'm hosting the pudding course of a dinner party this evening. We're going elsewhere for starter and elsewhere for the main, then six people I don't know very well will be coming here for pudding. I've made eight ice creams.

I'm frantically running around trying to tidy my absolute tip of a house and it suddenly hit me that I haven't given any thought to drinks and will need to go out to buy some. My husband and I don't drink alcohol but are happy to buy and serve it. I happen to have in the cupboard:

One bottle of very good white wine
One bottle of very good red wine
One bottle of very good dessert wine
One bottle of crap prosecco won at a pub quiz
One bottle of crap rosé won at a pub quiz
An opened bottle of Bailey's that expired over a year ago
An opened bottle of port with no expiry date
A weird pomegranate liqueur I bought last time we hosted at this event three years ago that is unopened

I'm going to get some soft drinks. Do I need any more alcohol? If so, what and how much? Guests are probably in their 40s-60s. They will have had drinks at their previous two venues. I will at the very least get a new Bailey's. Anything spare will either fester in the cupboard until the next time I have a dinner party, or be donated to neighbours.

Lots of people don't like dessert wine and glasses tend to be small. So you probably have enough of that. Fizz tends to go better with sweet things than normal wine - it tends to lose all the nice taste and just end up tasting of alcohol. But maybe people will want the normal wine afterwards. Depends how much of a session you think people will be up for on a Tuesday.

Oh see as a non drinker could I ask the soft drink option is maybe sparkling water and some different cordials?

Please not shloer or however you spell it, although maybe that’s just me!

I,d go with brandy...brandy and Bailey's together over ice with a little milk...just a dash of brandy though. Brandy coffee with cream served in a glass as in liquor coffee...instant will be fine. Good luck and enjoy you evening.

@ZoyaTheDestroyer read again ^^

“Get a basic cafetiere and some decent ground coffee. You absolutely need to have proper coffee in if you're solely responsible for dessert!”

In the end, we only needed one bottle of dessert wine and two of rose lemonade! Thanks for all the advice.
