To want to go on an adventure with my baby

Ok I'm a single mum to a 6 month baby and 43. No ties, 6 months of maternity left.

I want a challenge like a coast to coast, anything I can do with her. I won't ever get this time again.

Help me, what can I do?

I'd take it as a chance to travel slowly to somewhere you'd never bother to go to normally because it takes too long. I remember going to all sorts of remote, interesting places pre kids and maternity is the only time you really have time to travel. Perhaps somewhere like the train down to Spain or around Germany? If you're staying in the UK Scotland allows wild camping which is free. Don't try to move too often though, it's a total pain. Ideally 3-4 days per location minimum.

Cost wise, if you have someone around who can check it out over you may be able to put your home on Airbnb while you're away which can pay for a decent portion of the holiday.

Please also don't underestimate how heavy your baby will get, plus all their stuff. It's not easy!! If you're totally determined to do a long distance walk I'd definitely stick to well done ones like the Santiago de Compostela which have lots of info, people doing them, and places to stay en route.

No, the placements that allow children tend to factor that into whatever the job is so children stay with their parents. For example I worked for a while at a backpacking hostel and there was a lady there with a 1 year old who did some work on reception, some cooking, and also just chatted to guests and made them feel welcome, all with her son. Other placements may just be house sits or small holdings where there are a few animals who need feeding or a vegetable garden.

@anyoneanyoneanyone

Well I'm going to be busy today researching and planning. My budget isn't huge but I will camp and go before the weather gets cold. I want to have 2 weeks for a start. I will blog about it too!
Defo do some social media - I bet you inspire other people to do the same!
