Dh accidentally ate dc's Easter chocolate

Bought dc a Lindt hutch with bunnies in it for each of them. Two are adults and one is a teen.

Dd1 took hers home with her last weekend after staying here. The other two were in the garage with other food.

Dh casually mentioned he's been eating the bunnies today!

(Lighthearted - he was horrified, went out immediately to replace it and these are not little dc, wouldn't have been the end of the world if it went undetected)

Yeah don’t buy his story. He eat them over a week?

Surely the only defence is you eat them all at once in a frenzy chocolate fuelled attack 😀

I'm just impressed that your DH managed to replace the chocolate (even if he did go to some lengths to achieve it). Gone are the days of plentiful Easter chocolate in the shops just before Easter (and discounted chocolate the day after)...

I have rather a lot of snaccidents if I’m not careful!

He does display learning behaviour. He also bought and labelled a supply of bunnies for general use.

How on earrrrth did you have 3 children with him op, did you not know he was a lindt bunny thief before you conceived. 🤣 When you have publically flogged yourself in the market place for having children with such a callous beast you must ltb, immediately. Either that or do what I do and hide the chocolate 🐇 .

I remember those days. It just disappears overnight, no matter how much stock there was!!! Seriously, does anyone know what shops do with Easter eggs not sold before Easter nowadays? It's bugged me for years now.

The anticipation is the thing. The only chocolate eggs that get a pass are Cadbury's Creme Eggs, and that's because they're around all year.

He went to three supermarkets and an outlet store to replace it. Is that redemption enough I ask myself?

I was about to post that he'd be bloody lucky to be able to replace them. Supermarkets have already cleared their shelves of Easter stock.

FML there is so much wrong with this. Reckless buying Easter goods, reckless eating Easter goods?! Change your names, change your identity, never talk of this again

Reminds me of the drama when my dad ate the chocolate bar out of my cadburys dream easter egg (remember how good they were??!) And i was incredibly upset. So he went to the cash & carry and got me a whole box of them to replace it 😂
