Any recommendations? Something with big and obvious buttons. Usually this person is really good with techmology. Can't wear glasses to see because of all the tubes. Would be so grateful for any ideas. I've googled everything I can think of.

I have some small Sony WI-c310s.

The buttons aren't massive but they also only have 3 and they are all clickable by feel. The middle one is one/off and also play/pause (hold and just press respectively).

There's a plus for volume up and a - for volume down and that's it.

They have about 13 hours of battery life which I fine pretty convenient.

coodawoodashooda · 14/04/2022 21:27

Oh the click might be good. I was hoping to find something with colourer buttons as well. There are all varieties in all sorts of colours but not separately coloured buttons. It's frustrating. The hospital is so noisy and if I could achieve this Id be able to improve the situation.

Have a look for Teotronics ( sp ?) I have had a few pairs of over ear headphones.
You can get ones that fold so take up less space and over the years and really like them I use I'm going to and from work everyday day journey takes a total about 3 hours and only charge them every other week

Blush21 · 14/04/2022 21:30

Use these everyday. The case holds 40 hours of charge and the buds themselves hold 8. Buttons on each bud pause/play and a double click will skip a
Song

I would also recommend you getting them couple of good power banks in case they can't get to any plug sockets so they can charge phones and headphones on a power banks and you can take them home and recharge the power banks for them.

buckeejit · 14/04/2022 21:36

Anker are good but most buttons on the ear, controls through phone or tablet. August also fine & we have 3 pairs-about £20 refurb from eBay

buckeejit · 14/04/2022 21:37

A long charging cable & plastic magnifying glass maybe?

@buckeejit

A long charging cable & plastic magnifying glass maybe?
I offered that but there are already so many wires. It's horrible.

To maxx do some nice basic ones. I have some basic over ear skull Candy's from Lidl. Really simple buttons

Mabelface · 15/04/2022 09:50

Look for active noise cancellation ones as they're better at cutting out the background noise.

Notanotherwindow · 15/04/2022 09:54

Skull candy do some nice ones in the crusher range. The ones I have are the feel the bass ones and the power button is orange so stands out.

Only has 3 other buttons and a slider and they are all findable by feel. Top and bottom are volume and middle one to answer or hang up calls. Slider controls the bass.

Thank you everyone.

If you're going to deliver them in person you could paint the buttons with nail varnish.

That's a good idea!

Another vote for Sony. My dad is in his 70s & I got him a pair to use with his tablet. He loves them. Very easy to set up & use 👍🏼
