AIBU to still holiday with the parents as adults?

Reading a thread earlier about traveling with older teens got me curious about how many adults still go on family holidays. Myself and DH are early 30s and travel with the parents/siblings most years, as well as on our own. We never really stopped doing this, but maybe it's uncommon? Everyone pays for themselves and has done since becoming an adult, but I quite like these big family holidays. Am I the only one? I've been with both my family and DH's family. Neither us nor siblings have any children, so maybe this is relevant.

AIBU for liking holidays with the parents/in-laws as an adult?

I still go away with my grandparents in my mid 20s but I do still live with them so it makes sense to. They do treat me as if I'm 15, I can't live life like a normal 20 something which is difficult. Although haven't been away for several years and when we do it's usually half an hour away to a glamping place. If I had my own family or stable partner who I lived with it would probably be different and I think I would feel awkward about it

I think that is fairly unusual. I didn't really go on holiday with my parents at all after about undergraduate age. Just once when they wanted to take us on holiday to their second house abroad. After my mum died in 2014 (by which time I was in my 40s) we started going on holiday once a year with my dad, sisters, and our families. He paid for the accommodation. But he died a few years ago too.

Not in a million years. Not been away with mine since I was 16. Love and like my parents but we have very different ideas about holidays and I would fall out with my mum within about 15 mins.

No we quite often do.

Can be more relaxing than friends i find, because less effort needs to be made Grin

I'm going with my parents this year (I'm 28, my sibling is 26) to a UK break for the first time in 15 years this year. I'm really looking forward to it!!
Hopefully we are able to go as a family more often in upcoming years rather than all separate as I like spending time with my family

My sister and I used to go away with my mum until Covid stopped it, we are late 50’s!

I frequently go on holiday with my adult DC who are 29 and 30, sometimes with just one of them sometimes both
No GC yet but sometimes their partners join us
Already considering a bigger group holiday villa for my 60th

YANBU to just do whatever you works for you. Why would it be? Confused If you enjoy holidaying with parents and/or siblings, just crack on. I doubt anyone else cares how you spend your holidays?!
