Not an aibu, but yeah..

April hasn't been kind to me, everything seems to have broke, needs replaced, renewed etc. Topped off by someone crashing into my car, writing it off and driving off today. I live payday to payday pretty much as is, I'm a single parent as DH sadly passed away and it's been tough getting back on my feet since then.

My rent is due soon and I just don't think I can afford it. I know no one can really answer this, but how likely is it they will want me to leave if I ask to pay a couple of weeks late? I'll get paid again soon and the car insurance will have paid out, so it's not I can't afford rent at all, just I can't right not.
The feeling of seeing less than my rent money in my bank is making me so stressed but u just Don't know how else I can solve this Sad

Hello everyone

We've reinstated this thread now. The Night Watch helpfully hid it for us overnight, which was definitely for the best at the time, but we've had a chance to look behind the scenes now.

Right now we can't see any evidence to indicate that the OP isn't above board – if we did, we'd remove the thread straight away. And we can confirm that the OP has been here a number of years and never been any trouble, so we've no reason to think she isn't genuine. As she says, she hasn't and won't be asking anyone for any money, and we've no objection to people asking for information and advice here.

But, as we always say, the truth is that, sadly, we at MNHQ can't know with 100% certainty that any poster is genuine, no matter who they are or how long they have been here. As frustrating as it is, we're not able to vouch for anyone here we're afraid.

For that reason, we always ask users to remember that not everyone on the internet is who they say they are – and remind folk not to offer more to another poster, either financially (in cash or gifts) or emotionally (in time or care and support) than they'd be prepared to lose if things went wrong. We strongly advise against parting with any cash or giving away your personal details, and if you receive a PM which makes you uneasy - report it to us and we’ll take a look. Again - there's no evidence at all that that has happened here, but we do always think it's worth reminding everyone.

Sorry to hijack your thread briefly there, OP – we really hope you get it all sorted soon.
