Filler not worked .. anyone else had this ?

Had it in my nose to make it straighter. Very happy with the initial result, very straight though I know it was also swollen.
A week later, swelling has gone down and I almost have the original nose I had, only a subtle change.

Luckily I got a top up included in the price which I'll have in a week but i am disappointed. The practitioner told me she'd only needed one top up in 2 years etc.

I didn't expect to see such little change, has anyone else had this with filler?

I think we’re going to need to see pics. Sorry you’re disappointed with the result, that must feel rubbish.

It's much better to put in less, wait for it to settle, then put in a bit more. You saw yourself that the swelling makes it hard to judge how it will look long-term. Believe me, it's very hard and painful to dissolve fillers if you end up with too much, this is the better road by far.

This is a genuine question but if you have filler put in your nose won't it just make your nose look all fat and bulbous ? I thought the idea of filler was to pad out sagging wrinkly bits or am I misunderstanding what filler is?

It can build areas up, so for instance bumps In nose it can make them straighter which is what I wanted to achieve

Anyway thanks for the advice I'll see if the top up helps. I suppose it's like lips maybe it's better to build them up

I had under eye filler (tear troughs) by a wonderful and very experienced doctor.

They do hsve to under inject a little as filler takes on water for uo to 2 weeks post injection. So they never aim for 100 percent correct, doing so would make the filler too much as it settles. You might find your results improve as this happens.

I will say my under eye filler was meant to last 9 months but honestly probably only did the trick for 3. It just dissolved. I decided to get permanent surgury (lower blepharoplasty) to correct it and it looks amazing, I should have done it first really.

It's hard to comment without seeing your results but fillers just don't last one some people. There is also the possibility you have forgotten how it looked initially and are hyper focused on the area, so now can't see the improvement.

I see, thanks 😊

Far, far better to have too little put in the first time and then boosted in the second! I’d be much more worried if they only gave you one session with no adjustments!
