Hello all,

I know I'm not being unreasonable, but posting here for traffic.

There will be a debate on childhood cancer awareness in Parliament on 21st April and iam asking you to please email your MP to make them aware of this debate and encourage them to attend. I'm sure we have all seen important debates where hardly any MP attends and this one needs to be heard. Cancer is the biggest killer of children and yet so many children do not get diagnosed early enough.

In the UK, only 1 in every 450 children under 15 develops a cancer. So about 1,600 children (up to the age of 15) in the UK are diagnosed with cancer each year. These cancers can be quite different from cancers affecting adults.

They tend to occur in different parts of the body to adult cancers. They also look different under the microscope and respond differently to treatment. In the UK, around 2,200 teenagers and young adults (15-24 years old) are diagnosed with cancer every year.

I'm aware of this through the fantastic work being done by Sophie's Legacy and have already emailed my MP.
Really hope others reading this will do the same.

That's how I know about it too. It's just so important and I'd hate to see an emply Commons chamber
