To ask you to use up your boots points

I think this is very clever of Boots. Loads of people who haven't been to Boots for ages will go there to spend their points. Boots will hope it will remind people they like shopping at Boots and they'll regain some customers.

The easiest way is to get any loyalty cards digitally in the first place or scan them into Apple pay or G Pay. I always have my phone with me, so always have my Advantage card or Club Card. The Costa one is worth having for a free coffee every few purchases.

I didn’t know they deactivate the card and you loose the points if you don’t use it, so thanks for posting op.

It made me go and check my points anyway and I realise I shop at Boots more than I thoought I did - about three times a month. And I sued up about £20 of points in January. So I'm good, thanks!

Oh right - I see! Well it’s still helped some people who haven’t used their card/or won’t and perhaps even forgotten they have points!!

The post says use up your points. That s misleading and not helpful. Helpful would be saying "spend your points if you haven't used your card and won't be using it within the timeframe"

The replies which you called arsey were pointing that out. For the people who didn't know and would have understood something else from the OP. So helpful posts, rather than arsey or misleading.

I have just logged on to check my balance and I've got £30. What should I spend it on though? I barely wear makeup now and we don't have a bath anymore. Have got two big bottles of perfume. Anyone got any suggestions to treat myself?

I got posh fake tanning cream. Boots also do other gift cards, a larger selection than you would think. If they will accept points payment to buy them, then you could try that.

Even if you’ve only helped one person, that’s great.
I’ve passed on your photo to others too, if they already know, no harm done.
News like this in these times of huge efforts to to save expense, is enough to make me grateful for your post.

have you checked your email, mine said order failed but when I tried to do it again the points had gone. Had email confirmation since too

It’s not using your points before June. It’s going into boots and buying a snack or a drink and using your card, as long as it’s over £1. That’ll keep it activated for another year and you can spend your points when it suits you.

Thanks op. I normally only use my card at Christmas and had £13 in points which I've just used to buy Ds2 some sun cream (despite the weather for the next few days!) as he burns so easily and I'm hoping that the sun will make an appearance again really soon!
