Ive been feeling gradually worse over the last week or so, lateral flowing regularly and all negative including the one this morning, has anyone else had these symptoms:

  • headache
  • upset tummy
  • feel like im swallowing glass
  • blocked nose
  • dry cough on and off
  • skin feels extra sensitive, especially my legs. I couldn't get comfortable last night just kept moving my legs all the time, they felt sensitive but also like they were on fire
  • feel exhausted
  • feel weirdly dizzy and lightheaded every so often

I have no fever. I know there's other things going round so must be something else but god i feel awful 😭 anyone else!?

Thanks everyone. Just looked at my tonsils, they've got white patches on, so painful when swallowing. Do I need antibiotics for this or is this something that will clear with rest and fluids? Don't want to bother the GP unnecessarily.
Sounds just like tonsillitis! If it is, you need antibiotics, it's totally miserable
Teaforme123 · 30/03/2022 11:48

White spots usually means tonsillitis I would imagine you probably need antibiotics call the GP definitely.

Menora · 30/03/2022 12:10

I had Covid in December it was 5 days before it showed up on an LFT.
I have the same thing now but negative LFT again.
If you have white spots call a doctor.

I can't wait until all the "ITS 100% COVID" and "I didn't test negative until 3 months after my symptoms started" replies stop.

White spots are probably tonsillitis, see your GP OP. Although I'm sure someone will be along to tell you that their aunts post man had white spots on his tonsils with Covid too.

I had all these symptoms for weeks, it drove me mad. After speaking to a specialist it turned out I had just developed hayfever as an adult. It's not super common but it happens. Got me a nose spray and problem solved.
CatDogMonkeyPOW · 30/03/2022 12:23

Sounds like tonsillitis. Honestly I felt awful when I had it. Way, way worse than Covid. Ring the GP and get antibiotics.

pastaislife · 30/03/2022 12:27

ooh definitely sounds like tonsillitis with the white spots. if bacterial, antibiotics will help so contact GP. agree with other posters, tonsillitis a few years ago is the worst I've ever felt, 100x worse than covid for me

Could be glandular fever, sounds exactly like my son's symptoms when he had it. Esp the very painful throat and white tonsils. You will need a blood test so probably need a negative PCR test in advance
Malalaa · 30/03/2022 13:49

I had all these symptoms. It was covid.

BOOBOO24 · 30/03/2022 14:33

My partner just had those symptoms, lft was positive, took another which was negative so booked a PCR, also negative. Looks like it was a gastric flu in the end

WizzardPjs · 30/03/2022 21:15

@Malalaa

I had all these symptoms. It was covid.
