To think you can ask too many questions

A friend of mine didn’t get a job because she asked too many questions … she is most indignant and is adamant they’ve made a mistake, but I can see their point of view. Or am I the unreasonable one?

Interviewing the interviewers, that could definitely have put them off.

Nobody wants that!

To be fair most things are usually on websites etc so should be available for her to research. If it’s basic questions, like when’s lunch or how many sick days do you get - they know they’re on to a loser.

We've had this previously. I was on the panel, and we didn't think she was a great candidate to start with.

She then started specifying which hours she absolutely would or would not work (it was advertised 37.5 hours standard office times), couldn't work after 3pm, and then started asking about facilities and discounts the business offered, and whether she could choose her own desk, meaning if someone was in the desk she wanted would we move them. Bizarre interview.

She also used the term "Not to boast..." more than once when talking about previous jobs.
