Going on holiday in August with alot of family.
Traveling one of the days to see a famous tourist attraction and it is a 6 hour drive there and 6 hours back again from where we have booked to stay..

Me and DH (whos a HGV driver knows what long distance travelling is like) and we want to stay the night.

There is 5 in our group, and 2 dont want to they want to travel see and go bk to the booked house and the 5th person is happy to do whatever so they're on the fence.

Aibu to think we should definitely stay as itll be so long of a journey, as itll bw more than 6hrs with pee stops, food stops, we literally dont know where were going stresses etc.. and should just split the costs with another group of friends who are also going there at the same time and they're happy to share accommodation which wouldnt even make it that expensive either...

Six hours each way? I presume you're going to be abroad. Is this attraction really so wonderful that it's worth a trip of that length? I'd sack it off and make a mental note to visit it another time when staying closer.

I would say not to go for the ones that don't want to stay. I wouldn't want to drive 6 hours somewhere on holiday. Can you be bothered ? I would fly if possible ?
