To be highly anxious ringing the doctors?

From bad experiences I get so so anxious calling the surgery. My heart rate goes up, I get really nervous and feel quite emotional. I absolutely hate being thought of as a time waster or being inconvenient. I've been trying to get an appointment for 15 mins, lines engaged, finally through at number 27 in the que for my baby...

I feel your pain. It's exactly the same for me. I had to call on Monday because they have taken my life saving, life long medication off repeat. Just so anxious.

Oh no @DeedIDo that's awful!!! I can deal with rudeness and people being "short" with justification but when you've been trying for so long and then to be answered with this attitude it's soul destroying.

Is it nearby? I don’t like phoning so usually go round and queue on the doorstep instead and speak to someone face to face.

My husband did that last week and got a really shirty comment from the receptionist saying "we have 2000 patients Sir, you just gave to be patient and keep trying the phone lines" before booking an appointment Hmm

I'm on my own with baby today and she's napping in her cot so can't leave the house.

We have an appointment and it was luckily a decent receptionist this time, but it's not always.
