Annual passes

Me and DS often have days out at an attraction near us and so I always get an annual pass for us each as its otherwise quite pricey and I'm a single parent (may or may not be relevant but I know mumsnet likes a bit of back ground).

We last went to this place in November, as out passes had run out, I renewed both of them. As DS was 3 at the time I bough him the 1-3 years annual pass. Except now DS is 4, do I need to buy him another annual pass (4-16 is a similar proce to an adult pass, around £40, whereas the 1-3 is around half that price). DS is quite tall for his age, speaks very well and people often would mistake him for 4 years old even before, if that's in any way relevant)

If I had thought about it at the time I would have just bought the 4-16 year old one, but I didn't think..
So my AIBU, am I a cheeky fucker (or even allowed) to use the annual pass I already have?
Or do I need to buy a new one as DS is now 4 (more expense Sad)

No idea what you are asking if unreasonable or not, but I wouldn't do anything.
You've bought a pass for a year.
If it were something they wanted to be strict about age wise, then the question would be asked at the time it was bought.

You bought the pass for the age of child you had. Nothing wrong with that unless it explicitly states you should buy 4+ one if your child becomes 4 during the year.
Even if it does, jus keep using it. Worst case scenario they ask you to pay the difference.

You bought the correct pass for his age. Everyone is going to be a year older during the life of an annual pass so no, you don’t need to buy another one. Obviously when it comes up for renewal if you do that you will be buying the pass for a 4yo. I loved having annual passes for things when my kids were younger, being able to drop in for a bit rather than feeling like you have to stay all day to justify the cost is great 😊

and I'm sure venues don't rush over to give a partial refund when an adult has bought a season ticket for something and becomes a pensioner part way through the year.......

I’d say it’s fine to continue using it. You got the correct one for the age of the child at the time. Don’t give it another thought.

It’s generally age at time of renewal so I’d think it was fine
