Influencer's sons behaviour. AIBU to think it's not funny

Can't name names obviously but she is an "influencer" and former football WAG and was on the Real Housewives of Cheshire for many years. She's a brunette.

Was idly scrolling Instagram and fell on to her page, there's a video of her son (7-8yrs old?) smashing a large foil balloon purposefully towards his grandfather, smacking the grandfather to the side of his body (who was just sitting peacefully on the sofa) and spilling his tea all over the sofa.

The video was posted 4 days ago so plenty of comments, most of them with "😂" and saying "boys will be boys!" etc.

There were (only) a couple of comments hitting back saying it wasn't funny and this Influencer replied "it's just a ballon, get over it" type comments.

I'm embarrassed for them and horrified they let their children "play" like this and laugh at the child.

Is it just me that doesn't find this funny?!

If my children did this they'd get a stern telling off Blush

Looked set up. I've watched several times and didn't see a cup flying from pops hand. Looks like the sofa was wet already??

Game changer. Has repelled many a baby vomit.

They're all. Shallow narcissists. Though. Not surprising

prettyteapotsplease · 13/03/2022 16:22

Poor old granddad could have scalded himself with the tea so it's not funny. Letting the little shit behave like that is not acceptable.

Boys will be boys is simply a convenient excuse.

PestorPeston · 13/03/2022 16:28

I guess her son is as in need of attention as her.

blacksax · 13/03/2022 16:58

Sounds deliberately staged to me.

KatyRebecca84 · 13/03/2022 17:38

They’re a joke the lot of them! She paid for her child with a perfect face to have a nose job.. who does that?! It was shocking. Anything for attention.

MorganKitten · 13/03/2022 17:38

Bardo sets up a lot of her ‘funny’ videos

blockbustervideo · 13/03/2022 19:44

Interesting that so many say it's been set up. Not sure if this makes the whole situation better (that her child doesn't behave like this normally), or worse (that they actually do this for attention).

These are always set up. He should have grown out of carrying on like that, but to be horrified is ridiculous. It's a kid messing about with a balloon. As for the sofa, the better quality they are, the more cleanable they are.

They have obviously deleted comments and this is a huge issue with social media.
Kids/adults will see something that’s not quite right and check the comments. If no comments agree with them then they will think that their view is a minority.
But comments are getting deleted to make you feel this way.

Summerfun54321 · 13/03/2022 20:33

I don’t think you can view WAGS Instagram accounts and expect quality content portraying excellent parenting and good taste 😂

Fixyourself · 13/03/2022 20:34

Imagine if you could delete other peoples comments on a mumsnet thread of your own…that is what’s happening on social media!

WomanStanleyWoman · 13/03/2022 20:36

Can't name names obviously

Why not, if this video is on her publicly available Instagram?

Really does it get attention though? It's a complete non event?

Nothing shocks me anymore, you just have to look on here to see how people make excuse for their kids and other people’s kids.
Literally it’s like no parent is responsible for teaching their kids wrong from right and when posts on here say about a child’s behaviour and the parents are to blame, everyone says you’re ‘mean or ‘nasty’ for literally saying the kids need boundaries and rules.

This scenario I can imagine a post by someone else in the room and everyone saying the boy probably SEN and the poor mum needs support blah blah, but really it’s shut parenting by shit parents and their little darling just do wtf they want- constantly and everyone else has that deal with it.

Baaaa · 13/03/2022 21:10

@Flickflak

I have two boys and I can’t stand that “boys will be boys” attitude. It’s so damaging.
I know and it makes no sense. Especially these days where a lot of kids think they are not boys or girls.

I have a feeling historically MN hq pulls threads that explicitly name individuals.

Her boys do seem particularly boisterous obnoxious and she just laughs it off. She doesn't seem to be able to control them very well.

StoneofDestiny · 13/03/2022 21:35

Haven't seen the video, but have seen Tanya Beardsley on TV and she comes across as a coarse and self publicising woman whose only conversation seems to be about plastic surgery and her wealth. Vacuous woman who is now using her son to keep her in the newspaper - no surprise.

Partyatnumber10 · 13/03/2022 21:47

Hmmjust watched it...adults howling with laughter at a child being a brat basically. Then the child gets to school and doesn't understand why the teachers are slightly less impressed, sigh!

underneaththeash · 13/03/2022 21:49

Eh? Who cares why would anyone watch this crap?
Stop watching and it goes away.
