Give me things to do

Suspected rupture of the medial collateral ligament in my knee and am currently in a straight leg splint and crutches. It is making life very difficult to get around so am mostly sat on the sofa. It’s day 1 and I’m bored out of my mind already. Give me ideas of things to do?

No kids and an amazing husband who does everything I could need him to do while I do nothing!

Sympathies, I broke my leg and damaged a ligament a while back! I crochet and it was one of the only things that kept me occupied while I was laid up! Bella Coco and Jayda Institches are great YouTubers for crochet. Start with a granny square, get some DK wool and some cheap and cheerful hooks (I like Chrome best) and see how you find it!

I broke my humerus and dislocated my shoulder….I had 8 weeks off and I didn’t achieve anything…I genuinely think my body needed me to rest !!
I had so many tasks I had set myself but after walking the dogs I was genuinely exhausted!!

Tedx or coursera if you want to learn interesting random things Or Duolingo for a language

Or you could complete online research surveys to help ongoing scientific studies

Borrow a big, challenging Lego set from someone of a jigsaw

Paperwork, e.g. Review finances/insurance etc if this is something you manage yourself

@KateMiddletonsBodyDouble

Sort out all your photos!
Not sure if it's that common now or just my house but we have loads of photos from about 1995-2008 which need sticking in albums, not just those wallets?!?

  • Do a short, online course in a subject you're interested in. I found a couple held by local universities. You could also look on Future Learn.
  • Puzzle books; crosswords, arrow-words, sudoku etc.
  • Start resesrching your family tree.

Please raise awareness about the fact that Dawn Meat wants to put an effluent pipe into the beautiful Boyne river in Meath.

Do some online volunteering. We did some on zooniverse during lockdown but there are lots of other opportunities.

itsstillgood · 13/03/2022 01:45

Futurelearn or Openlearn courses
