Aside from family and people that open their homes, where are the refugees going to go?

Fully support Ukrainian refugees finally being allowed to come to the Uk.

Fascinated about people that will be opening their homes to them and wondering in reality how many people that will help.

So for all the others that choose to shelter here, where will they go?

How about Buckingham palace and all the other large stately homes, castles and palaces that belong to the royal family? I’m sure they wouldn’t mind sharing

I know the queen has made sizeable donations to this cause.

"Sizeable" to someone with that wealth is the equivalent of me giving a tenner though. I agree with the pp, one family (and the various hangers on) don't need all the royal palaces I addition to their various (slightly) smaller private homes. Give one up to the public good!

I just read that if you take in a refugee for six months the government will pay the host £350 per month.

I guess this is still significantly less than it would cost if the government had to find and find somewhere to place the refugees themselves.
