Apologies in advance as this has been done to death but would appreciate advice from anyone who has travelled to the US from LHR recently as so much information on the airline website and government advise is conflicting.
Just don’t want to get it wrong .
Both fully vaccinated.

My daughter will have her PCR test 24 hours before and hopefully all ok .
I’ve recently had Covid so have a Covid Revovery certificate on my app .
However website says I needs letter from a health service provider in addition to this .
We are in Scotland and they don’t issue letters .. we are just referred to the app .

Has anyone travelled with just the data on the app ? ( with no issues )

Also both passports and ESTAs in date !

Thanks in advance for any info

Just do an antigen test, you should be negative if you have recovered, and they are accepted for the US

If you are flying with BA or AA. Use the verifly app..its great

Make sure you have paper copies of your vaccination and your covid tests as just electronic ones are not enough for entry (although they probably wont check)

Ok .. will print paper copies ..thanks ..

Can’t do the test as still showing positive ( legacy virus .. sensitive antigen and PCR tests still pick it up - hence vaccine passport thing )
DH got refused travel last week for testing positive on PCR .. 4 weeks post NHS-positive test …we thought that was a way around the letter issue …
This travelling business is so difficult now ..

Will definitely use the VeriFLY

You could try a private doctor and pay for them to write a letter.

SeaToSki · 10/03/2022 18:49

Or use less sensitive antigen test!

We traveled out of and into USA recently.
There are lots of private companies that for about 70 quid will write you a fight to fly post COVID letter.
I looked in case we picked up COVID in the UK and got stuck.

You only need a LFT within 24 hours of flight. I can’t help re recently having covid but I’ve just come back from USA.

Print copies of your vaccinations/booster jabs because US systems can’t deal with the UK QR codes. Photocopies are universally accepted out there. You’ll need to show your passport plus the copy.

Going out I was questioned about vaccine status and all my paperwork was inspected. I was even asked for a copy of my ESTA (they backed down but might be worth noting the number). On way back, still needed passenger locator form plus vacc proof

I have just returned from a trip to the US yesterday and I used electronic copies of all documents every time I had to show them. I did have back up paper copies, but they were never requested.

Brilliant- thanks @Allaboutthepizza
Hope you had a great time !
