To cut a long story short said friend and I have known each other since we were born have had a v good friendship and never fallen out at all, she is DS godmother. She was going to see us over christmas but didnt make it then apologised and said she was not coming back down to our area untill after the new year as she was spending that with her fiancee family. Friend called me on sunday before new year and said she was down and could she come up? I said yes asked her about her day and she said she was busy arranging a do so I said lets just chat when u come up. 10 mins later she texts and says some guests have arrived can she come up later? I said of course no problem - still havent heard from her! The following day I text to wish happy birthday. Then yesterday I looked on facebook and found new pictures had been added from her birthday/engagement/new years party!!! I am so upset and pi**ed off with her for not inviting me I feel like I just want to text her and say nice pics from your party but the other half of me thinks dont bother with her anymore...what should do???? Am i being unreasonable?

I don't know your domestic arrangments but is it at all possible that she phoned to invite you and your DP/DC/parent/housemate/dog forgot to pass the message on? Mind you, as LFC says, it does sound as though it could have been either an impromptu party or even a surprise one thrown by someone for her ie someone who either didn't know you well enough to invite you or didn't have your contact details.

I dont kno the ppl she works with but do know all the ppl we grew up with and who still live in the area we grew up which is where i now live again!
