Sorry i'm hijacking this busier board, posted in style snd beauty but didn't get a response.

I have a combination of moderate and a few severe acne scars on my face, acne is moderatley under control, odd nasty hormonal bresk out now and again, scars are from bad adult acne in my late teens/20's. Now 40.

Two facialist have recomdend this now as an option, is it worth bothering with or shall I just go straight to laser (I'm a bit terrified of the latter as I have really sensitive skin and just feel I would react badly to it)?

I had it as part of a million dollar facial - after a week my skin felt brand new! I've previously had bad adult acne which eventually resolved a few years back and this didn't cause a flare

Hi I'm trained in microneedling, it's an amazing treatment for acne scars and also for creams to properly penetrate the skin rather than just sit on top but to get best results you need to have it done regularly.
Have a look at hydrofacials aswell these are amazing

@Teacupsandtoast @London321 how much did it cost you and how many sessions did you need?

juicylemon · 08/03/2022 22:37

I'm the same age as you. I had three sessions about three years ago and didn't notice any difference to my acne scars. Probably needed more sessions.
I hope have the Co2 laser in future (when I've saved up enough).

Questiontellme · 09/03/2022 12:56

@juicylemon ah man OK, I would have thought after 3 you would see an improvement at around 80 at treatment I don't think I'd be able to keep the resolve up if after 3 there was no result. I'm really thinking should I just go for laser, I am scared of it tho!!!

Thank you @London321 what do you think re above so when you say regular is it a cumulative effect, how many sessions would you say we're needed?
